Welcome Susan Webb continues to work in her favourite medium of oil paint to interpret New Zealand land, sea and sky-scapes. Her unique and instinctive style which evokes the Southern Hemisphere’s high altitude light is rendered in an increasingly abstract manner.
Her body of work shows a maturity achieved in a remarkably short period of time, especially considering painting is included among many other commitments such as critiquing and curating exhibitions.
Her desire is to do nothing but paint and sleep.
"(Susan's) paintings are skeleton and flesh all at once" Bill Manhire, New Zealand writer and academic
